Description: 

The Santiago lab conducts research on manipulating the plant growing environment to improve vegetable production indoors and improving their human health-promoting phytochemical content. The lab also investigates how plant physiological and biochemical pathways contribute to high-temperature stress tolerance or sensitivity of specialty crop flowers.
